When people think of Page, Arizona, the first thing that comes to mind is Lake Powell. And don’t get me wrong—the lake is incredible. Surfing, boating, paddleboarding—it’s paradise.

But here’s the thing: Page has so much more to offer than just the water. Some of my favorite adventures happen off the lake, and they’re the kind of experiences that make you fall in love with this corner of the Southwest.

So, if you’re planning your trip and wondering what else to do, here are 7 must-see spots and experiences in Page, AZ (that don’t involve a boat).

1. 🌄 Horseshoe Bend

You’ve seen the photos—it’s probably one of the most iconic views in the entire Southwest. But nothing compares to standing on the rim yourself, looking down 1,000 feet at the Colorado River wrapping around in a perfect U-shape.Pro tip: Go for sunrise or sunset in the off-season. You’ll skip the crowds and catch the canyon glowing with unbelievable color.

2. 🌞 Antelope Canyon

This one’s world-famous for a reason. Walking through the winding slot canyons feels like stepping into another world—walls of orange and red stone twisting into natural waves overhead. There are two parts: Upper Antelope (the famous “light beams” shots) and Lower Antelope (narrower, more adventurous). Honestly? You can’t go wrong with either.

3. 🌌 Skylight Arch

This one’s a bit of a local secret. It’s less crowded, has killer views of the desert stretching for miles, and it’s especially magical at sunrise or sunset. If you want that “I can’t believe I’m the only one here” feeling, Skylight Arch is the spot.

4. 🏜️ The Toadstool Hoodoos

Just a short drive outside of Page, these funky rock formations look like something straight out of a Dr. Seuss book. Big mushroom-shaped hoodoos stand tall against the desert sky, and it’s an easy hike (perfect for families or quick adventures).

5. 🌉 Glen Canyon Dam Overlook

Lake Powell exists because of this massive structure, and seeing it up close is jaw-dropping. The overlook gives you a straight shot of the dam with the Colorado River rushing below. It’s one of those places that makes you feel tiny in the best way possible.

6. 🐾 Navajo Village Heritage Center

Want to connect with the culture and history of the land you’re exploring? This experience is incredible. You’ll get a taste of traditional Navajo life—stories, music, art, and more. It’s immersive, authentic, and gives depth to your trip that goes way beyond sightseeing.

7. 🏞️ Alstrom Point (for the adventurous)

Okay, this one takes a little effort—it’s best with a 4x4 or guided tour—but wow. The views over Lake Powell from up here are next-level. You’re standing above the lake, looking out over endless mesas and canyons, and it feels like you’re on Mars.If you’re a photographer, put this at the top of your list.

✨ Bonus: Stargazing in Page

Even after you’ve checked all these off your list, don’t forget to look up at night. Page has some of the clearest, darkest skies in the U.S. From the hot tub at Lake Powell Surf Inn, you can see the Milky Way stretched across the sky. Trust me—you’ll never look at the night sky the same way again.
